Is anyone interested in forming a contest team for the NAQP CW.  A team can have as few as 2 members up to maximum of 5 members.  Of the 12 hours of the event a team member can only operate for 10 of those hours. Team members must operate Low power and Single Op (that means no assistance at all - no packet, other ops, spotting, etc.)  There is no distance limitation nor do you have to be a member of CVCC or any club for that matter.  For example, you could operate from Alaska and still be on the team.  Scores of team members will be added together to determine a total for team competition.   For more info look up the rules for the NAQP.
The first station in the team will be W4MYA at W4PM.  Can we get 4 more CW ops?  Let me know ASAP - RSVP if you please!  I need to know soon because I must register the team via email before the start of the contest.   There are also SSB and RTTY NAQP's at later dates.  Maybe those modes might be of more interest to you and we could form SSB and RTTY teams. These contests and team competition could be fun!  These little 10 hour contests are great practice for the bigger ones to come.
Oh yes, the exchange is Name and State.  I will use Dude VA.  There is no reason why all team members can't use Dude as their name or any other name you might want to pick in honor of any of our departed members.  How about Tom, Monk, Lance, AC, or John or any other departed CVCC member you can think of.  Of course you can always use your own name.
This team will be the "CVCC Team 1 - The Running Dudes"
